A rare and quite charming figure from the Art Nouveau era depicting a smiling fashionable young lady wearing a short pink and grey dress covering just one shoulder. The shape of the skirt looks unusually different, revealing her loose bloomers. A pretty pair of blue shoes completes the ensemble.
Beautifully hand painted and glazed, she is in excellent condition other than some crazing to the glaze here and there and with an old professional and invisible restoration at her feet.
Made in Czechoslovakia around 1900 it’s marked on the underside Hohenstein and numbered. The height is 31 cm.
