Hammered Silver Pendant with Butterfly Wing Centre
Contoured circular silver pendant with a finely hammered finish decorated with little leaves at north, south, east and west.
In the centre is set a vividly coloured blue butterfly wing beneath a clear protective cover.
Marked sterling silver on the reverse together with the maker’s mark HWK for Henry William King who crafted silver items between the years 1896 and the early 1920’s.
The pendant has a diameter of a fraction below 4.5 cm and the old Arts & Crafts silver chain with its unusual clasp is a generous 75 cm long.
