Gold and Mother-of-Pearl Bracelet attr. to Murrle Bennett*
Item Description
Bracelet dating from the early 1900’s crafted in 9 ct. gold that has been fashioned into gently convex little squares, each one separated by a mother-of-pearl disc set in a gold mount.
The combination of the square shaped gold with its finely hammered finish and the circular mother of pearl sections works very well, giving the bracelet lightness and elegance.
Unmarked apart from a somewhat indistinct 9 ct. mark, but beautifully made and with an undoubted Murrle Bennett look that leads us to believe that it almost certainly originates from that workshop.
The clasp is neatly concealed beneath a mother-of-pearl section and the bracelet is also fitted with a safety chain.
The length is approximately 18 cm.
