Art Nouveau 9 ct. Gold Pendant*
Item Description
English 9 ct. gold pendant with a strong, open design, sweeping lines and whiplash detail that is all so classic Art Nouveau.
Set in the centre is a blister pearl together with a little dark red stone that we assumed was a garnet. However, the reading on our gem tester shows that it is in fact a ruby.
Finished at the foot with a mother-of-pearl drop set in a gold mount and marked 9 ct. on the back.
Circa 1900 and measuring a little over 5 cms. long from the ring bale to the bottom of the drop.
The 9 ct. necklace chain is approximately 43 cms. in length.
