Gold and Abalone Pendant set with Opal*
Shield-shaped high carat gold wirework pendant fashioned into an openwork leafy design with sweeping lines over a background abalone plaque set into a gold mount.
The iridescent piece of abalone has obviously been selected with great care, being beautifully coloured and finely striped.
Set at top centre is an oval opal stone showing good colour.
Pure Arts & Crafts and beautifully crafted but we unfortunately have no idea where it was made or by whom.
The pendant including its bale is 4.5 cm long and the hallmarked 9 ct gold necklace chain measures approximately 45 cm.
