German Shepherds by Drouot*
Item Description
Absolutely super pair of German Shepherd dogs (Alsatians if you prefer) eagerly leaping one above the other. Both are looking in a similar direction so something has obviously caught their eye. They are chained together by their collars but one animal has just slipped his so they are about to become independent of each other.
Full of movement and energy, this is a very stylish spelter sculpture set on quite an ornate marble base, inset with onyx detail.
Signed on the marble by the artist Drouot (French, Edouard Drouot, 1859-1945). Around 57 cm wide.
