Arts & Crafts Silver and Amethyst Pendant
Impressive Arts & Crafts silver pendant featuring two prominent open flowers, possibly roses or peonies, each emerging from separate cornucopias, either side of a teardrop shaped faceted amethyst stone.
Above this is another opening flower bud along with several leaves, one of which curls over the top of the amethyst.
The original decorative bale is still in place and a stylish mother-of-pearl silver set drop is suspended below.
Length, including the bale and the drop, is 7 c, and the pendant is complete with a good Arts & Crafts silver chain, measuring 44 cm, which has a toggle type fastener.
Late 1800’s, probably Austrian or German in origin and marked on the back for 800 silver together with a maker’s mark that we are unfortunately unable to identify.
