Georges Grellet Drypoint Etching*
Drypoint and aquatint by Georges Grellet dated 1929.
Titled “On the Beach” it portrays a stylish young lady of the day leaning against a pillar and emptying her shoe of sand picked up from the beach.
She’s a pretty girl and with her pearls and fashionable shoes is rather elegantly dressed for a walk on the sands, but so typical of the era.
Signed in pencil and numbered 129 this would have been from a series of around 200-300.
In good condition with just a couple of small knocks to the old frame which measures 47 X 37 cm. The image alone is 36 X 26 cm.
