French Enamelled Winged Insect Brooch*
Delightfully detailed little Art Nouveau circular brooch depicting a stylised flying insect with colourfully enamelled wings.
Unmarked but we know it to be French. Of an openwork design and with little glass stones on the head and body of the insect and around the edge of the brooch itself.
The enamelling, in green, blue and orange, is in excellent condition with no apparent losses.
The old original clasp was found to be well beyond its sell by date and has been professionally replaced with a new safety clasp.
Diameter is just a touch over 2.5 cm.
