French Earrings with Locket Backs*
Unusual pair of French silver earrings, each with an enamelled image of a cherubic looking child on the face side, surrounded by an ornately fashioned outer frame set with seed pearls.
They hang on a couple of links from the smaller top section, also set with seed pearls, that is attached to the wire fittings.
Turn them over and the backs reveal a removable cover enabling them to be used as little secret lockets.
Dating from circa 1860 and measuring 4 cm in length overall.
