French Art Nouveau Gold Necklace*
Beautifully designed 18 ct gold French Art Nouveau necklace set with sapphires, a diamond and natural pearls.
On its original chain, the main body of the necklace hangs from a suspender in the form of an open flower, set with a sapphire in its centre.
Another flower, this one with its five petals reflexed, is also decorated with a sapphire just above a pair of water lily leaves. Behind sit three unopened buds each topped with a perfect little pearl.
Finished with a natural pearl drop, just below a tiny diamond, the whole effect is very Arts & Crafts in style and quite lovely.
The chain, with its barrel clasp, has an extra removable attachment giving a choice of two lengths, either 38 or 45 cm.
From the suspender to the drop, the main element measures 6 cm in length.
