French Art Nouveau Gold Locket*
Art Nouveau 18 ct. gold locket from France dating from circa 1900 depicting the profile portrait of a young woman set against a four lobed leaf background.
She wears a band of little diamonds in her hair with three smaller diamonds in the necklace at her throat and a further single diamond sparkles in a star shape just above her head.
The locket opens from the top to reveal a circular aperture ready to house a photograph or other small keepsake.
No marks apparent but it has been tested as18 ct. and measures 3.5 cm in width.
Attached to a 9 ct. gold necklace chain with a barrel type clasp measuring just over 48 cm.
