French Art Nouveau Carved Mother-of-Pearl Pendant
Elegant 18 ct gold French Art Nouveau pendant, the outer frame set with diamonds, enclosing an oval carved mother-of-pearl portrait of a young woman.
A beautifully balanced design with the shaped outline and gold wirework giving a light, open look and framing the portrait perfectly.
Unmarked but the gold has been tested as have the diamonds.
Late 1800's and 5 cm in length including the bale.
The necklace chain is marked 9 ct gold and is just under 46 cm long.
N.B. We have photographed this piece under varying lighting conditions as it is difficult to capture the detail of the mother-of-pearl carving satisfactorily.
