Fishy on a Dishy
This is a large and impressive plaster statue of a fisher girl holding a basket of fish and about to reach down to another at her feet. Her long dress is swishing around her legs in the sea breeze.
Titled "Bonne peche" in French although she looks from the style of her dress to be Dutch.
Signed by the artist Hochöck and numbered 332 this piece dates from circa 1890 and is approximately 78 cm tall.
A smashing statue that looks really good on display.
