Fahrner Silver, Marcasite and Turquoise Brooch
Art Deco silver brooch from Theodor Fahrner in the form of a stylised bow-tie.
Dating from the late 1920's and displaying a series of circular designs, layered one above the other, surrounding three rings of marcasites on each side, which in turn encircle little turquoise cabochons.
The 'knot' in the centre is also studded with marcasites and the whole effect is very Art Deco with added sparkle.
