Fahrner Art Deco Silver and Amethyst Cross*
Silver and marcasite cross pendant set with faceted amethyst stones, made by Theodor Fahrner in the 1920’s.
A strong design with a close, semi-openwork look, the finer detail set with tiny marcasites, appearing to flare outwards from the centre.
The six amethysts are unusually cut, with their flat tables accentuating a splendid depth of colour.
Marked on the bale with the Fahrner maker’s mark and for 935 silver.
A good size and fairly weighty, measuring 8 cm long including the original dedicated bale.
The silver necklace chain is 55 cm in length.
