Arts & Crafts Silver and Mother-of-Pearl Necklace
Item Description
English Arts & Crafts silver necklace with a distinctly individual look, set with mother-of-pearl and with three long baroque pearl drops.
The main pendant has a quatrefoil outline enclosing a garland of leaves and berries which themselves encircle the largest of the five mother-of-pearl features.
Three more are set amongst the ornate chainwork from which the pendant is suspended, and which then connects to the rest of the necklace chain.
No maker’s mark but quite beautifully crafted and in good, complete condition, including the hand-made toggle type fastener.
Very early 1900’s and measuring just a fraction below 9 cms. in length from the central of the three in line mother-of-pearl features to the bottom of the longest drop. The fully opened out length is 38 cms.
