Gold and Moonstone Brooch designed by Knox
Item Description
Brooch dating from 1900-04, designed by Archibald Knox and crafted in 15 ct. gold.
Almost circular in outline, with an openwork design showing a pair of outward facing stylised leaves either side of an upright oval moonstone set in the centre, and a knotted entrelac design at the foot.
Below this a set moonstone drop is suspended on a single link.
No marks but the design is illustrated on page 254 of the Knox book by Stephen A. Martin.
Measuring 3 cms. wide by 3.5 high.
