Arts & Crafts Silver, Gold & Chrysoprase Brooch
Item Description
Bar brooch from the Arts & Crafts era, crafted mainly in silver but showing gold detail.
The main frame of the brooch is silver and this supports coils of gold wire at each end together with a twisted design in the centre which separates the two prominent chrysoprase cabochons which are themselves framed by a rope patterned border also in gold.
Showing the maker’s mark on the back reading M&EW but we’ve been unable to ascertain who this might be.
Early 1900’s and with a width of 6.25 cms.
