Really cute pair of Art Deco lion or panther cubs – brother and sister perhaps – sitting next to each other and looking rather sleepy.
Made of spelter and patinated in a dark pewter colour which contrasts well with the variegated onyx and black marble stepped base.
Unsigned, as were so many of these Deco pieces, but almost certainly French and dating from around 1930.
In good condition with a few inevitable minor marks to the patina and measuring around 45.5 cm wide by 12 deep. The height is approximately 17 cm.
