Bronze Lioness by Riché*

Item Description

Super bronze study of a lioness carefully descending a rocky outcrop by the French animalier Louis Riché ( born Paris, 1877).

This is an unusually compact sculpture, the size aided by the animal’s semi-crouching position as she negociates the steep downward incline.

Sculpted around 1910, signed on the naturalistic base and very well cast although there is no foundry mark.
