Silver and enamel brooch in the form of a flying swallow, made by Charles Horner and hallmarked at Chester for the year 1911.
With its head lowered, its forked tail raised and its wings fully extended, the bird appears to be soaring high in the sky.
Vividly enamelled in blues with a touch of green and a very good example of this sought after design, measuring 8.25 cms. wide.
