Carved Mother-of-Pearl by Frey & Co
Jugendstil square-shaped silver pendant encasing a mother-of-pearl plaque quite beautifully carved into the profile portrait of a young woman.
The silver frame shows a shaped detail at the edges set with single marcasites and the dedicated fancy necklace chain encircles the pendant on three sides, apart from along the top edge.
Made by the Pforzheim company F. Frey & Co circa 1910 and showing their impressed maker’s mark on the back.
The overall width is 3.5 cm and the chain, from the top corners of the pendant, measures 62 cm.
