Captured Bird, 2*
Item Description
This is the mid-sized version of Lorenzl’s famous Captured Bird made by Goldscheider. This one is 29 cm high and features the dancer Niddy Impekoven wearing a butterfly wing dress, supported by a floral urn.
A striking figure in a wonderful colourway with no damage, just an old and very tiny invisible restoration to a fingertip. As so often with these old Goldscheider ceramics, there is a little fine age-related crazing on the legs which is only noticeable close up.
Model no. 6204/775/19 and signed Lorenzl on the underside. This classic art Deco figurine always attracts comment.
