Item Description
Great pair of Art Deco patinated spelter bookends depicted as playful performing elephants each balancing on a barrel. Easy to imagine them slowly rolling along by steadily shuffling their feet.
Mounted on variegated greyish coloured marble bases and dating from around 1930, they are both signed Franjou (a synonym for Hippolyte Moreau) on one end of each barrel.
In very nice condition and standing approximately 13 cm high, 10 cm long and 8 wide.
