Murrle Bennett Gold & Turquoise Brooch
Item Description
Art Nouveau brooch in 15 ct. gold by Murrle Bennett & Co. dating from the early 1900’s.
With an elegantly shaped outline and gold wirework which winds its way both over and under the main body of the brooch, ending in a knotted feature at the foot.
Set in the centre is a fine, contoured turquoise matrix stone with a smaller one set in the drop below.
Clearly marked on the reverse with the MBCo maker’s mark together with 15 ct. for the gold content.
Just a fraction below 3.5 cms. in width.
