Arts & Crafts Large Enamelled Pendant*
Unusually bold silver and enamel Arts & Crafts pendant necklace dating from circa 1910.
The wing-shaped upper section features a square enamelled framed centrepiece turned on one corner. Suspended below on a couple of silver links is an offset large drop, also contained in a silver frame, and enamelled in several colours.
This characterful necklace looks equally effective worn full length or as a choker, as can be seen in the photos.
There is no maker’s mark which is not uncommon with these old hand-made pieces. The length of the pendant, measured from the bale is approximately 11.5 cm. The chain measures around 42 cm. long.
