Silver and Gold Arts & Crafts Ring*
Item Description
Ring in both silver and gold that is very reminiscent of the work of Josephine Hartwell Shaw who was a prominent member of the Boston Arts & Crafts Society in the early 1900’s.
Comprising a silver shank detailed with a narrow gold line on each edge, which widens out at the shoulders into a series of stems, bunches of grapes with silver leaves, all against a dark, nearly black background.
Set in the centre is an oval mother-of-pearl plaque, to complete a very pleasing overall design.
We’ve stopped short of making an actual attribution but we do have a strong suspicion that this ring was crafted by Shaw.
The ring is a UK size N.
