Celtic Sceptre Brooch by Amy Sandheim
Striking and large brooch by the English Arts & Crafts jeweller Amy Sandheim who came from a family of jewellery makers and had their own shop in west London.
Crafted in silver and set with an assortment of stones including amber and heart-shaped chrysoprase and carnelians.
The silverwork shows a fine detail of vine leaves and bunches of grapes.
A very impressive size at 13.5 cm high by 5 cm wide and showing further silverwork on the back.
No signature, as it quite usual, but known to be by Sandheim and dating from circa late 1920’s.
