Art Nouveau Wine Jug*
Splendid old Art Nouveau copper and brass wine jug with a capacity of a little over a litre.
Primarily of copper and decorated on both sides with a repoussé design of stylised tall flowers and leaves, linked together at the bottom. A raised wide hammered band circles the centre area of the jug, crossing over the stems of the flowers.
The foot, handle, spout and hinged lid are all of polished brass, the handle with a distinctly Secessionist style look.
The interior is tin lined and sound.
Unmarked or signed but probably German from around 1900. A touch below 30 m tall and in excellent condition.
