Art Nouveau Silver Bowl*
Striking Art Nouveau silver bowl made by Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Co. in 1906.
Standing on three splayed legs which curve upward and outwards in fluid fashion to form the handles. Embellished between each handle with prominent lapis lazuli cabochons surrounded with heart-shaped silver detail.
An unusual bottom finial completes a very balanced overall design.
The interior of the bowl is gilded so that it can be used for fruit if desired.
The height is a little over 21 cm and the diameter of the bowl at its widest is just over 19 cm. Fully marked as can be seen in the photographs. 1135 gms in weight.
