Art Nouveau Silver and Enamel Pendant
Silver Art Nouveau pendant with four convex panels enamelled in attractive shades of green shading to orange.
With little silver dots towards the edge and finished with a teardrop shaped drop showing peacock eye colours.
There are hallmarks and a maker’s mark on the reverse but, as can be seen from the photos, they are worn and virtually impossible to distinguish. However, judging by the style of enamelling, we are of the opinion that it was either made by Smith & Ewen or possibly James Fenton, and would date it at circa 1905-10.
Length from the top of the bale to the bottom of the drop is approximately 4 cm and the silver chain is 50 cm long.
