French Art Nouveau Gold Brooch Pendant
Art Nouveau 18 ct. gold brooch that can also be worn as a pendant, in the form of an iris flower with its leaves swirling behind and around it.
A strong, typically sinuous Art Nouveau design from an unknown maker but none the worse for that and showing French hallmarks.
The outline is slightly offset, giving a unique and individual look, with a little baroque pearl forming the drop just slightly to the left of centre.
The 18 ct. gold necklace chain, which has a barrel type clasp, is easily attached via two neat little hooks which connect to the fixed rings concealed just behind the top outer edge.
Just a fraction over 4 cm long, including the pearl drop, and 4 cm wide. The necklace chain is approximately 54 cm in total length.
