Art Nouveau Gold and Opal Pendant*
English Art Nouveau pendant crafted in 9 ct. gold and set with an upright oval opal stone.
A strong Art Nouveau design with sinuous whiplash curves which twist both over and behind each other, rather like a loose knot.
Finished at the foot with a little wing pearl and measuring just a fraction below 6 cm long including the bale.
No maker’s mark but quite possibly by Barnet Henry Joseph as it is very similar to that maker’s work.
The 9 ct. gold necklace chain measures 62 cm in length.
