Murrle Bennett Gold and Opal Brooch
Item Description
Art Nouveau brooch in 15 ct. gold by Murrle Bennett & Co. dating from the early 1900’s.
It’s a design we’ve not come across before, showing a boldly shaped outline with a pair of stylised leaves on curving stems each side of a flared central area which frames a very nicely coloured oval opal.
Completed at the foot with a baroque pearl drop.
Impressed verso with the MBCo make’s mark and 15ct, and with a width of 4 cms.
