Art Nouveau Gilded Bronze Fairy
Delightful Art Nouveau gilded bronze figure of a young maiden with fairy wings, standing and leaning forward slightly to admire the posy of lilies she’s holding.
Wearing a floor length dress that clings to her body and fans out around her feet, she has her hair in the chignon style so beloved by the Art Nouveau artists.
Beautifully cast but unfortunately with no signature apparent. However, it’s possible that this figure might have at one time been fixed to a marble base, and this is where a signature might have been. In any event, it stands and displays perfectly just as it is.
The height is approximately 38 cm.
