Art Deco Lady and Bird*
Delightful cold-painted spelter lady in a very Deco dress seated on the ground with one arm outstretched in front of her with a small bird perched in her hand.
She is leaning slightly back, looking closely at the bird and supporting herself with her other arm.
Unsigned, so we don’t know who the artist is, but he has captured a charming and gentle scene extremely well.
With a lovely aged, bronzy coloured patina and gold highlights to the dress. Particularly good detail to the lady’s face and hair and also to the feathering of the bird.
Set on a good piece of portoro marble measuring 32 X 14 cm. The height is approximately 24 cm.
