Art Deco Hair Comb*
Eyecatching celluloid hair comb depicting a pair of exotic birds with beautifully coloured green and blue open feathers and pink heads and necks.
The wings are further decorated with two rows of peridot coloured faceted glass stones and tiny silvered metal dots running to the wing tips.
Nicely three-dimensional, the decorative area curving both upwards towards the tip and downwards at the sides and with two semi transparent curved prongs.
Probably made on the cusp of the Art Nouveau and Art Deco eras, around 1920, and measuring just a fraction over 15 cm wide.
