Art Deco Dancer with Cymbals
Item Description
Lively, all action French spelter figure of a very Deco young lady energetically dancing and playing the cymbals.
Our girl is wearing a short, strappy dress which has slipped off one shoulder as she dances, and she looks to be completely at one with the music.
Her short bobbed hairstyle is a real reflection of the era, dating as this does from the 1920’s.
Unsigned but very likely from Limousin. The cymbals look to be of ivorine.
Mounted on a tapered Portoro marble base and with an overall height of a touch under 43 cm.
