French Art Nouveau Portrait Pendant*
French Art Nouveau pendant in 18 ct. gold featuring a head and shoulders portrait of a young woman wearing a headband set with three little diamonds.
The backdrop behind her of a four lobed leaf provides the outline of the pendant which has that typical medalist look that was so popular in the Art Nouveau era.
No marks but testing as 18 ct. and quite clearly French in origin.
Just a touch over 3.5 cm long including the bale, with the 9 ct. gold necklace chain measuring approximately 40 cm in length.
