Theodor Fahrner Silver & Lapis Brooch*
Item Description
Circular silver brooch from the workshops of Th. Fahrner, dating somewhere between 1905 and 1910.
Almost certainly designed by Alfred Bernheim who was employed by Fahrner around that time, as it is so similar in style to much of his other work.
The prominent contoured central silver disc shows a lightly hammered finish and is framed within an outer ring detailed with six little connectors.
In the centre is set a lapis lazuli cabochon and at the foot are suspended three little silver balls on long chains.
Clearly marked on the back and with a diameter of 3 cms. The length including the drops is 6 cms.
