Amy Sandheim Silver Cross with Opals*
Impressively large silver cross set with a profusion of opals and opal doublets that, although unmarked, is quite clearly by Amy Sandheim.
The ornate silver work, which is continued on the back. is very typically her work, as is the style of the original very long silver chain.
Plenty of colour in the opals, the one set in the bale, although sound and firmly set, showing a couple of internal flaws.
The cross measures 11.5 cm long, including the bale and has a width of a little over 7.5 cm.
The necklace chain is approximately 130 cm in length.
