9 ct. Gold and Enamel Flower Pendant*
Open shield-shaped Art Nouveau pendant in 9 ct. gold enclosing a Jubilee enamelled three-petalled flower with a pearl in its centre.
The muted colours graduate from green on the stem and the inside of the petals, through gold to a delicate pink at the tips. This so called Jubilee enamelling was specially done to commemorate the diamond jubilee of Queen Victoria in 1897.
At the top the flower stem graduates into an offset fixed ring to which the bale is attached, and the pendant is completed with a pearl drop.
Marked 9 ct. on the reverse and measuring just a fraction below 4 cm long including the bale.
The 9 ct. gold necklace chain has a barrel type clasp and a length of 38 cm.
