WMF Silver Plated Clock*
Rare and unusual silver-plated table or mantle clock from WMF dating from around 1910 – one we’ve not seen before.
The rather wonderful old clock case is more Secessionist in style than Art Nouveau and is of an upright, rectangular shape with openwork design and further decoration in relief.
The movement is not original, the present one having been inserted in the case as a replacement some years ago. It has an alarm and an integral winder so there is no separate key.
Approximately 29 cm in height and marked verso with the first WMF impressed mark together with the additional marks I/o (normal thickness of silver plate) and OX.
