WMF Card Tray*
Polished pewter visiting card tray made by WMF around 1905, with a delightful scene of a small child, kneeling and leaning forward with fascination to look closely at a snail on a long sinewy leaf. The snail appears to be looking back with equal interest.
A lovely Art Nouveau item that originally would have been silver plated. We see no reason to have it replated since it’s is just as attractive with the finish it now has and the detail is finer.
Measuring approximately 27 cm long and 13.5 wide at the widest point, it shows the maker’s mark and model number on the underside.
