Item Description
Large and very rare silver brooch by Berthold Löffler, made by the Wiener Werkstatte circa 1910.
The striking image in strong relief portrays a winged putto, his hair streaming behind him, holding flowers as he sits astride a very fat fish.
Set inside a beaded border and showing the WW mark together with Austrian control marks and a Dutch import mark.
The diameter of the brooch is 6.5 cm.
