Victorian Diamond and Opal Ring*
Eye-catching ring in 18ct. gold set with a large, elongated oval opal surrounded by no less than 24 rose-cut diamonds set against a dark blue enamelled background.
Splendid colouring to the opal stone which is secured by four little claws.
Dating from circa 1830-1840 and unmarked but we are assured that the gold tests as 18 ct.
The ring is a UK size I but could be made larger by removal of the two little buttons that are currently inside the shank.
