Tall Loetz with Candia Papillon Iridescence
Item Description
Gorgeous Art Nouveau era vase from Loetz showing strong iridescence in golden-yellow and blue with additional flashes of fuschia shining through the stem.
The vase is shaped with a round, bulbous bowl at the foot, extending into a long neck which tapers very slightly outwards as it rises. At the top, the rim flares out horizontally, overhanging the bowl far below.
A detail of small irregularly spaced dots, pushed into the glass as it was made, surround the top edge of the rim.
In lovely clean condition. The height is 37 cm and the diameter of the bowl a little over 16 cm.
