“Spring Dance” by Le Faguays
Splendid Art Deco silvered bronze figure of a dancer by Pierre Le Faguays.
Scantily clad in a short and rather revealing dress, she is modelled on one leg and holding flowers in each hand. With her hair tied by a wide headband and her joyous smile, this young lady is the very essence of Art Deco.
Mounted on a verdigris marble base with inscribed signature Le Faguays and standing approximately 48 cm high.
Dating from around 1925 and in good sound vintage condition, showing a few age-related marks to the patina.
This figure is also sometimes signed Pierre Laurel which was one of Faguay's various pseudonyms.
