Silver & Rose Quartz Choker Necklace by N.E. From*
Silver choker necklace dating from around the 1930’s to 40’s by the Danish silversmith and jeweller Niels Eric From (1908-1982).
Crafted as a matching sequence of eighteen daisies, each flanked with a pair of leaves at the sides, and below each of which is set a circular rose quartz cabochon.
The components are connected by a single chain link to fixed rings along the top edge allowing for movement and flexibility.
From opened his studio at the young age of 23 and his early work was very much in the Skønvirke (Scandinavian Arts & Crafts) tradition, before he graduated to a more modernist style in the late 1950’s.
The length is just 36 cm and the necklace is marked on the back of the clasp Sterling, Denmark, NE From, 925S.
